New Book/CD! Available Novenber 15th! "Fun for Little Pickers and their Families!" Short stories, songs, and poems for Little Pickers and their families! You may order each separately for (including shipping!) or the pair for (including shipping). This book/cd is designed to be a source of entertainment for kids of all ages. While it is currently still in developement there will be at least 4 short stories. One is a story about a knight who rescues a lady from a dragon. Another is a fairy tale about a little boy who has a fairy friend that only he can see. A little girl named Christine and her teddy bear are the subject of another. Finally, there is a story about a little boy named David who wanted a doll. It is a good story, and gives someinsight into how kids think and the beauty of their emotions.
There will be several poems. I have two, and my partner Beth Duncan is working on several others. Beth is an excellent poet, so her contributions may be the best part!
There will be several songs, which will be performed by me that appeal to kids and grownups as well. "Children Go Where I Send Thee" will be one. Another will "Tennessee Stud" which kids seem to like. There will be others as well.
All in all, "Fun for Little Pickers and their Families" will be a great gift for the whole family! You can read the stories, poems and sing the songs together, or allow me the honor with the cd. Big News! I have a new cd called "The Copyright Album"! It is a collection of songs that I have written and recorded since "ALL MINE!" was released. There are 17 songs on it ranging in styles from bluegrass to country to blues. The cd is a good solid effort (if I do say so!) and very listenable.
Also, I will be releasing a pair of cds very shortly. One will be bluegrass, one will be country. This should please the people who like one style but not the other.
Also, I have some new songs at the mp3.com site. Be sure to hear "Selena, Don't Cry" which is a good country chicken-pickin song. (I may record a bg version also!) Also, "New Strings (on my guitar)" is a good bg jam song. I played guitar, bass, mandolin, dobro and sang on it. Lastly, I wrote a murder ballad about a killing that happened just a quarter mile from my door. The event happened in 1955 but I'd heard the story many times and wrote a good bg song about it. It is called "The Ballad of Roscoe Sweet". Be sure to listen to it!
